When I first moved to this area I was looking for ways to connect with the local artist scene and stumbled happily upon a serendipitous group of art-card traders who meet once a month to display and trade tiny original works of art, a card for a card. We usually do a series of nine because that's what fits into the plastic sleeve which in turn fits into the three-ring binder.
ATCs serve several purposes: they challenge us to stretch our imagination, they show us new ideas and, most importantly, they socialize us. I now feel well-connected with many local and not- so- local artists. You can learn more about ATCs by clicking on Ronna's Blog and reading about her now-international publication, ATC Quarterly. I just finished reading my copy and it's fantastic.
The above image is the series I traded on Saturday. They're all gone but in their place I have nine fine originals for my collection.

Whoops...how did she get in here?

More abstract than floral

Nine fish, all swimming in the same direction, against the current.

Can't seem to get away from that fishy thing. Nine musical mermaids jammin' away.

Nine tiny perfume bottles = one theme

More bottles...
...And sometimes I like to fool around with collage.

And that's all, folks!
