I look for beauty and truth in everything. It's not always there of course but I try to find it or make it happen. I love people who make me laugh.

Off With the Fairies

When I was four years old I had my first crush. The object of my desire was Peter Pan whose exciting adventures were being read to me over and over by my parents from an illustrated childrens' book tho' not the original version by J.M.Barrie nor the Disney version which was to come a few years later. Anyway, I truly believed in Peter and wanted to meet him and go to Never-Never-Land. I was also captivated by Tinkerbell and wanted to BE a fairy.

Later other enchanting creatures joined my pantheon of favourites: Thumbelina, The Little Mermaid, Good Witch Glinda, The Blue Fairy in Pinocchio...if they were tiny, had wings or could live under water I was their fan.

A few years ago I took part in an Art Exhibition whose theme was fairy-oriented. The following images are of some of my entries of "Fairy Fossils" which I created using plaster- of- Paris molds, oil-based glazes, copper wire and 'diamond dust'.

Do you believe?
Clap.
Please clap!

We guide the waves
We guard the shore
Our spirits have been here before.

Round the sacred stones we race...
We know who set them in this place.

Beneath the waves
Within the caves
I think of you
And wait.
