I look for beauty and truth in everything. It's not always there of course but I try to find it or make it happen. I love people who make me laugh.

Cornelia's Christmas

Many years ago when our kids were very young, I wrote the following story about their dog, Cornelia, and her adventure one Christmas Eve. The tale was originally written as a play with parts for everyone, even those who couldn't read. This is the abridged version. And of course it's based on a true story.
Cornelia was a special dog.

She liked to go for walks in the wild wood.

She looked after the children.

She had a good life.

Sketch for "But one Christmas Eve she went out. And stayed out. The family had forgotten her in all their excitement."

Sketch for Cornelia meeting Big Red, the friendly gypsy-dog.

Cornelia visits Big Red's cabin and hears about the fabulous Fairy Dog-Mother who will soon appear and magically produce a feast for all the forgotten dogs.

Hi GryNoKa,
I don't understand Norse but I enjoyed seeing your images, particularly your paintings. They are honest and childlike (not childish!) They have an innocent quality which comes from the heart. I shall continue to visit your blog & try to pick up some Norse vocabulary.
Do you like the paintings of Kay Nielsen?
